The Organization Structure of TFC comprises of

Annual General Meeting and Board

Annual General Meeting, the highest authority of the TFC, is held once in every financial year. The meeting makes decision of all important matters aroused during the day to day operation.

Board
The TFC board of directors exercises the power of day to day conduct of the TFC on behalf of the Annual General Meeting except those reserved for the Annual General Meetings. Its main duty is to ensure the proper administration on behalf of the Annual General Meeting in accordance to the by-law and members wishes.

THE DIRECTORATE OF FINANCE AND ADMINISTRATION

The specific functions of this Directorate include:

Co-ordination of annual budget preparation for the Federation
Dealing with all matters related to Accounting, Finance, Personnel and Administration.
Initiating proper records for all properties of the Federation.
Verifying and carrying out regular repairs and maintenance of all properties owned by the Federation.
 

Account Department

The finance department administers control and supervision of income and expenditure of the TFC.

 Personnel and Administration

The Department is responsible for efficient and effective management of human resources and administration matters of the Federation.

 Estate Department

The Department of Estates caters for direct supervision and maintenance of the buildings. It also deals with inspection and survey the Estate regularly to determine the work required for maintenance and improvement. It establishes and controls a preventive maintenance program to keep equipment such lifts, Air conditions in Operation. The estate depart is also responsible for security, estate cleaning services and gardens, tenancy records and liaison, advice on any matter relating to the construction/repair, maintenance of the estates. It also performs other duties as assigned by the Director of Finance and Administration.

THE DIRECTORATE OF CO-OPERATIVE DEVELOPMENT
 To accomplish the mentioned tasks for the Directorate of Cooperative Development, departments falling under the Directorate are:

·         Policy and Planning

·         Research and Marketing

·         Education and Publicity

 Specific functions of the Directorate of Co-operative Development are as follows:

To carryout review of various government policies in order to determine extent to which they affect co-operative development. Together with other stakeholders take part in the formulation of policies, which affect the cooperative sector.
To review cooperative legislation passed by the Parliament and find out the way they affect the development of cooperatives. This directorate also has the duty of reviewing other guidelines which have a bearing on cooperative development.
In collaboration with the Directorate of Finance and Administration, the directorate shall co-ordinate development plans for the Federation and the Co-operative movement in general.
Conduct Research in the cooperative sector
Offer consultancy services to co-operators for improvement in their performance.
Provide market/price information, local and foreign, to its members.
Initiate and conduct radio programmes for the purpose of providing co-operative education and at the same time public cooperative activities.
Publish journals and brochures and disseminate the same to members and the public in general.
Plan for all local foreign travels beneficial to the cooperators in the country.
And to carryout lobbying and advocacy with relevant authorities geared towards cooperative development in the country.
 

Education and publicity Department

This Department is responsible for Cooperative Education, mobilization, and providing information to members, leaders and staff of Cooperatives on matters related to Cooperative policy, registration, theory and practice.

 Research, Planning and Marketing Department:

The Department of Planning and Research initiates prepare implements and evaluate Federation’s projects in the short and long term. The department is also responsible for research, consultancy, collection and dissemination of Co-operative data on production and marketing.
